AS SEEN on the catwalk, US-based Proenza Schouler has teamed up with fashionably practical footwear brand SOREL on two limited-edition styles, and they’re available now, right in time for rainy season.
The SOREL x Proenza Schouler Caribou Mule and SOREL x Proenza Schouler Caribou Chelsea Boot made their debut at Proenza Schouler’s SS25 New York Fashion Week show, and as expected, the everyday styles have been elevated, designed to be worn in the city.
Crafted from a sleek leather in a palette of black, ochre and ecru, each shoe features signature Proenza Schouler heavy contrast stitch for detailing, with a custom back logo tab.

“We are excited to be partnering with SOREL to create the perfect all-weather footwear collaboration that merges Proenza Schouler brand codes with SOREL’s extraordinary heritage and sophisticated technical craftsmanship. We expanded on SOREL’s classic Caribou structure and aimed at urbanizing it by polishing it and stripping it back while respecting and preserving its highly functional qualities. We are delighted with the results which feel completely authentic to both brands.” – Jack McCollough + Lazaro Hernandez, Founders and Creative Directors of Proenza Schouler.

On the design and craftsmanship, Cory Long, President of the Portland-based brand, says, “This collaboration beautifully merges Proenza Schouler’s confident design language with our authentic SOREL heritage. For SOREL, a trusted standard in elevated outdoor footwear since 1962, it’s been thrilling to see our iconic Caribou silhouette translated into two runway-worthy styles. Our shared appreciation for refined craftsmanship just made it work really well. The collection tells a story for both brands, and that’s ultimately what it’s all about.”
A campaign was shot by photographer Zoë Ghertner to celebrate the release.
